Forming the new marine facade of Saint-Petersburg the Multi-function complex Lakhta Center (new headquarters of Gazprom group of companies) is located on 8ha plot with GLA of 400,000m2 of Phase 1, including 462m high vertical dominant (the Europe’s highest tower). The office function will occupy around one third of the total area with more than one third of public functions, including the multi-purpose hall-transformer, retail, medical and fitness centers, children museum of science with planetarium, panoramic restaurants and galleries. Along the site perimeter the complex is surrounded by open public spaces: tree public piazzas, open 2000-seater amphitheatre, water features and landscaped pedestrian embankment complement to the nonetheless huge indoor public spaces of concourse, atriums, hanging gardens and public observatory tiers in the tower very top. The design provided innovative and green solutions:  energy-efficient double-skin façade, double-decker lifts, state-of-the-art services engineering systems.

New Guinness Book world record was registered for the largest continuous concrete pour of the huge tower raft foundation.The tower curtain wall is the world’s largest cold-bent façade by its area. The design is based on principles of sustainability for LEED Platinum certification.
